I'd try colouring the dark shadows first, and then pull the colours with water, I thought.
Then the water pulled EVERYTHING and made everything flat.

This paper needs time.
Well, at least it won't seep into supposedly dry part like New Bresdin and White Ibis.
Also note that the texture is quite different on front and back (rough on front, flatter on back).
I say that's a 2 for the price of 1, but anyway, how it feels on pencils and pens and brushes...

I can't say I had to adjust anything.
