I was going to claim Micador as the cheapest watercolour paper I could find in Brisbane. Then I looked at this book of papers I've been using as sketchpad, with it's cover looking like it could be used for watercolours.
Hmm.
Therefore I tried.
I said above that surface is "tough", but it's tough for 125gsm, 120 pages booklet. And it's very, really, grey.
I'll stick to how I've been using them -- sketches and rough draft to decide what pose I'm going to be drawing on the proper watercolour paper.
